“Gas Stations” For Electric Cars

Hi!

This is a continuation of my previous post about electric cars

A major drawback I’ve seen in electric cars is that they don’t go very far (or at least not as far compared to gas powered cars). I don’t know whether or not this is a limitation of the electric car concept or if its just a problem with the electric car models I’ve seen. Obviously in the same way you need to refuel gas cars, you would need to refuel the electric cars. Now you run in to yet another problem, it takes a great long time to charge batteries, so what do you do?

What I figured would be the best solution was to combine two ideas: propane and cell phone battery extenders. Obviously those two things have nothing in common, but let me explain. Cell phone battery extenders: you might have seen these at the airport, you buy it, plug it in, and your phone has a few hours more of power. Propane: where I live you can buy a propane tank, use it, then exchange it for full one at a slightly lower price. So if you combine those two concepts then you have a “gas station” concept for electric cars: You drive, need more power (but can’t get home to plug it in to charge), you go to the gas station and buy the battery extender, and once you use it up you exchange it for a full one.

So that’s my thoughts on gas stations for electric cars, I hope someone finds it interesting…

Bye!

Electric Car

Hi!

From looking at the name you’re probably wondering why I’m putting this here. I mean the electric car has already been invented and we have hybrids which are half electric and half gas (so its clearly not a new idea). So why is this here? We’ll it’s here simply because I want to point something out. Though they may have been invented THEY AREN’T IN MASS PRODUCTION. As far as I know you can’t go to regular car dealer and purchase an electric car… WHY NOT!? With high gas prices, the whole global warming thing, air pollution, and probably a list of other things we should be driving electric cars. BUT WE’RE NOT! If only I had the money I would start an electric car manufacturing plant… I could make millions :P .

I’ll write more on this later.

Bye!

P.S. Hey if your reading this I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
